After working in law firms performing exclusively personal injury defense for insurance clients until 2001, Scott Cleary moved to Harrell & Harrell, P.A, which provided personal injury law services. Scott decided to open Cleary Law, P.A. to provide more hands-on attention to clients.

Scott Cleary
Scott A. Cleary was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 18, 1960, one of seven sons. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1981 (B.S. with high honors) and received his JD in 1984. Scott received his original trial experience as an Assistant Public Defender from 1984-1987. After that, he accepted a position as an insurance defense attorney representing companies such as Travelers Insurance Company. He joined Harrell & Harrell in 2001. Scott was admitted to the Florida Bar, 1985, Florida; 1987 U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida; 1988 U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; 1989 U.S. Supreme Court; and served on the Board of the Jacksonville Justice Association (Past President). He and his wife, Angie, have been happily married since 1989 and are the proud parents of four sons and a daughter.

Community Involvement:
Scott also helped start youth ice hockey in Jacksonville in the mid-1990s and was the original head coach of the Nease High School lacrosse team in 2001, when Nease became the first public high school in North Florida to play boys and girls high school lacrosse. He is currently a player and coach of the Jacksonville Graveside Armadillos men's lacrosse team. He is also an active member on the Jacksonville men’s ice hockey team, 24 Hockey.
